I was laying in my bed in the small village Giardini Naxos in Sicily, Italy. I was starring up in the white seiling and I saw some dust upp there. My artist eye searsh for intresting patterns. The window was open and a windpust flows throu the room and set the seiling lamp in movment.
Suddenly the dust patterns were split into two layers!
Parts of what I earlier saw was not dust, it were only shadows from the lamp light. The moving patterns were shadows, the rest were dust. The intresting part of this is:
no eye can differ betwen this two layers, if the shadows stay fixed.
Later that year I red about how cameras treats incoming light and I was building My First Concept how to draw an intresting painting.
